Yeeeeaaaahhhhh bitches! It took a while but I'm back. Most of the delay was due to a complete lack of interesting new music to mix, and I really don't like to repeat songs in the podcast. Meanwhile, I ripped some old CDs and dusted off some good (and kinda obscure) oldies for your listening pleasure.
Take for instance the second track, from Space. That is a one-off released exclusively on Future Music magazine in 1999, but still sounds fresh today. They're using the exact same sounds that are all over today's electro-house releases, with one big difference:
Space had talent and knew how to make good music.

#24 No school like the oldskool
Long time no see, I know! Sincerely, the problem is that most of the new electronic music releases are crap these days. I'm kinda sick of playing electro-disco-punk with distorted synths and over-compressed beats - and I'm all for pop, which excludes minimal techno and stuff like that. Not that is isn't good, it's just not me.
So then Prodigy comes along with an album which SCREAMS oldskool jungle all over, so all I could do was to pair one of the tracks from Invaders Must Die with a hefty dose of jungle breaks (thanks, Blog 2 the Oldskool!). I think it turned out pretty well. Hope you'll enjoy it!
Oh, by the way, BitBang!'s schedule will probably continue to slip for some time. I have some unfinished tracks which are dying to be released, so I gotta work on them. Stay tuned!
